Forget about your traditional view of plants. Our spectacular Tillandsia ("air plants") thrive for years without being rooted in soil. With over 500 species known, air plants display a vast variety of shapes and colors on their leaves, brachs and blooms. These unusual looking plants are native to warmer climates in North,Central and South America but look as if they came from Outer Space! They absorb their needed water and nutrients directly through their leaves instead of their roots, so they can be placed almost anywhere inside with sufficient light and air circulation or outside in warm weather. Their unique appeal makes them GREAT GIFTS for almost anyone, especially those who have "everything" .
Our healthy air plants are grown organically in our climate-controlled greenhouse year round. Their light weight and lack of soil make them easy to ship almost anywhere, but for now we only ship in the US. (Call for pricing and availability outside the US). If you're close to Ithaca, NY you can find our air plants at the Ithaca Farmers Market weekends April through December, booth 49, near the pier.
